Dragon’s Breath Books

There will be a total of eight installments for the Dragon’s Breath Series.  The first seven books will center around Bailey and Aidan, and the final novel will focus on Galadon and another character (who I’m not spoiling right now).

Bailey Monzac has just graduated college and is heading to her parents’ ranch for the summer when dragons invade. Like something out of her worst nightmare, the fire-breathing beasts rain down chaos and devastation on unsuspecting human populations. One minute Bailey’s planning for job interviews; the next she’s merely trying to survive.

But it isn’t long before she discovers she’s different from the people around her—the dragons’ destructive flames don’t affect her. That gives her an edge, but it also means she’ll become a target for powerful individuals seeking to use her to their advantage. Bailey will have to distinguish between allies and enemies quickly as she gets drawn into a war unlike anything the Earth has seen before.

DANCING WITH FLAMES (Dragon’s Breath, book 2)

Four months ago, fire-breathing dragons invaded Earth from an alternate dimension, wreaking havoc on modern civilization. Bailey Monzac has been training to kill them ever since discovering she was impervious to their flames, but when some of the beasts begin targeting children, she can’t hold back any longer and must hunt them down.

Her ally, Aidan, would help, except the shape-shifter has his own troubles. His clan is battling for territory against the pure dragons and his father—their leader—is dying. As the shifters fight for the pendragon position, fierce rivalry takes over. Aidan’s own brothers aren’t above blackmail and murder if it will get them to the top. He must stay one step ahead if he is to survive and keep his clan safe from the pure dragons who threaten them all.

Bailey and Aidan may be natural-born enemies, but working together might be the only thing that saves them from the danger that lies ahead.

FORGED BY FLAMES (Dragon’s Breath, book 3)

Ever since dragons invaded Earth, Bailey Monzac and other survivors have had to adjust to a new world order. But a long-lost threat is re-emerging that could once again destroy everything they’ve been struggling to rebuild—for both man and beast. There’s an artifact out there that can control dragons, and many would seek to possess it for ill intent.

It’s going to be up to Bailey, her dragon shape-shifter ally Aidan, and their friends to embark on a long and arduous quest to recover the relic before it falls into the wrong hands.  Along the way, relationships will strengthen and the bonds of friendship will be tested.  For there can only be one outcome if they wish to survive this journey.

CHRISTMAS WITH DRAGONS (Dragon’s Breath, book 4)

Dragon slayer Bailey Monzac and her shifter lover Aidan are about to have their first holiday season together. They’d rather ignore the rest of the world this Christmas, but trouble is headed their way.

Murderous dragons are on the loose, and there’s also the shifter mating festival Bailey and Aidan are obligated to attend. And on top of that? Her long-lost father is coming for a visit. She doesn’t know much about him, but she does know he’s a slayer who strikes fear in the hearts of dragons everywhere. There’s no way he’s going to approve of his daughter shacking up with one of the beasts—even one that is half human.

The presents may be under the tree, but yuletide cheer isn’t on the calendar for Bailey and Aidan.

CAPTURED IN FLAMES (Dragon’s Breath, book 5)

Dragons arrived on Earth nearly a year ago, decimating modern civilization.

Bailey Monzac discovered she was born to slay them the day they appeared. Though she has ruthlessly killed hundreds since then, she somehow fell in love with Aidan—a dragon shifter—along the way. Their relationship hasn’t been easy, and it’s about to be tested again.

Bailey finally got an opportunity to leave Oklahoma and return to her family’s ranch in Texas. The catch is that she and Aidan must join a war against the pure dragons controlling the territory there. They’ll be facing their largest and fiercest enemies yet with overwhelming forces against them. As they prepare for battle, more obstacles emerge that could ruin their plans. Aidan is with Bailey no matter what it takes, but it’s going to be a difficult journey to finally reunite with her family and hold onto the man she loves.

TORN IN FLAMES (Dragon’s Breath, book 6)

What’s a dragon slayer to do when she comes home from battle and discovers her four-year-old son has turned into the creature she hunts? While Bailey Monzac knew it might happen someday, nothing could have prepared her for this challenge without her shifter mate, Aidan, by her side.

After fleeing for her life from Oklahoma five years ago and leaving him behind, she’d begun working for the New American Coalition on the east coast. While it has been a haven, the people are not fond of anything that can breathe fire. On top of that, she’s just received a mystical “call” telling her that grave danger is approaching the home she left, and she must return. That means crossing nearly a thousand miles of treacherous territory in a post-apocalyptic world and potentially facing the same threat that made her leave.

Meanwhile, Aidan has his own troubles. He’s paid a heavy price for helping Bailey escape his clan while she was pregnant with their child. It was the only option for them at the time, and he’d do it again, but now the pendragon has given him a deadly mission to search enemy territory. With dark magic permeating the area, sapping the life force of those who cross it, most have never returned. If Aidan wants to provide a secure place for his mate and their son when they arrive, he must face it and so much more. Only by choosing the right path will they survive the evil forces coming their way.

what a great book! Love that your books are so original. I’m a huge fan of the sensor series and wish I could say ‘”ust focus on Melena and keep those books coming!”, but now I have Bailey and Aidan and I simply must know more of their story. So I’ll just say “please, stay healthy and happy and write as much as you can, about whatever you want, LOL! I’m sure I will love every word”.

  2. Joanne Johnston

Read all the sensor books in a week, just finished the first Dragons Breath, enjoyed them all immensely, cant wait for the next book in either series, a refreshing change of pace, loved them all!

  3. Cate

  4. Lilly

I have read “stalked by flames” several times and can hardly wait for the second book to be released, depretly waiting to see what happens and if love prevails.

  5. Susan

I read a ton of U/F but there are only a handful which I can say i’m really excited about and Stalked by Flames definetly falls into that catergory. I can’t wait to read the next book!

  6. Adam Levine

I Really liked this book and am looking forward to the next one coming out. I haven’t seen any info on when that may be however. Can you please give us a hint.

Personally given a choice between a new book in your Sensor series and the Dragon’s Breath series I chose a new Dragon’s Breath book.
Your Sensor series is good and I have read all of the books but I think the Dragon’s Breath series is better.

  7. Glenda Spratt

Read the Sensor series, and liked the uniqueness of the plot. Just read book one of the Dragons Breathep series. I may like it more. Can barely wait for book two.

On a more personal note, my condolences to you and your family. He sounds like he was a wonderful man who inspired you postively. I’m sure he’s still looking on with pride.
